The customer’s design concept had 3 separate spaces. One spot to barbecue, one as a living space and one to walk in the middle. The deck was put on the same level as the house floor to have a seamless interface between the interior and exterior. The couple also wanted to hide their concrete wall with UPM Piazza products to keep the unity of the whole terrace. Eric Lacano created a substructure in wood with the same 35cm space between support rails. The edges were then covered with cover strips and so the owners wish had been fulfilled. The couple were delighted with the decking and that the work resulted in the desired outcome.
